Your cottage in the heart of Jizersky mountains

Welcome to the cottage built in 1876, which was inhabited by a family of glassmakers for more than 100 years (Sklářská means glassmaker´s in Czech).

The cottage underwent a complete sensitive reconstruction in 2020 with an emphasis on traditional architecture, the use of original materials and the comfort for our guests.

In 2022, a spacious Finnish sauna with a glass relaxation zone was built.

Sklářská cottage

The cottage is located in the heart of the Jizersky mountains, less than 5 km from the Collapsed dam and 10 km from the settlement of Jizerka. The cottage is surrounded by a forest on one side, and the bubbling mountain stream on the other.

The cottage offers 11 places in 4 cozy bedrooms. In addition to the cottage, you can also rent a small apartment for two people, which is directly adjacent to the cottage.

Guests can use the new, generously equipped wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a relaxation room with a forest view. Yoga lovers will appreciate the wooden terrace facing east and overlooking the valley.

The apartment is located close to the cottage and offers accommodation for two people. The house is primarily intended for guests of the cottage as an extension of the cottage’s capacity to up to 5 bedrooms and comfortable accommodation for 13 people.

Separate rental of the apartment is not possible.

Sklářská cottage

The cottage is suitable for a group of 11 with option to extend the capacity for up to 14 persons. Each of the four rooms offers a spacious double bed, three rooms are also equipped with a 120 cm wide bed that can accommodate one adult or two smaller children.

Guests have access to a glass Finnish sauna for 4-8 people. Just like in the cottage, in the sauna you will be surrounded by more than 100-year-old wood, which will give the sauna the right atmosphere and an unforgettable experience.

Rooms on the ground floor are equipped with underfloor heating for maximum comfort, stylish cast iron radiators will warm you in the rooms upstairs.

Our goal is to offer comfortable, spacious rooms that let the genius loci of the place and the use original materials stand out.

Apartment

Apartment is designed for two people. The house is a duplex apartment with an area of 24 m2, where you will find a stylish bathroom with toilet on the ground floor, and a dining and sleeping area on the upper floor. The apartment is dominated by a large French window with access to a terrace by the forest and a massive bed made of old beams. The apartment has a separate entrance from the cottage.

The ground floor and the bathroom with WC are equipped with underfloor heating, and stylish cast iron radiators provide warmth on the first floor.

In the high season, on Christmas and New Year's Eve, the rental is only possible for a week (from Sunday to Sunday).
In the low season, stays of 3 nights or more are possible (except for Easter and public holidays).

High season - Christmas, January, February, March, July, August
Low season - April, May, June, September, October, November, December

On the day of arrival, the cottage/apartment is available from 4 p.m., on the last day we ask you to leave by 10 a.m. Check out can be postponed up to 6 p.m. for a fee of CZK 1,000 if no further stay of others guests immediately follows

The price of your stay with us is final - no hidden fees and surcharges await you at the end of your stay.

How to get here

Sklářská cottage and the Apartment are located in the village of Desná I, on the road to Protržená přehrada (the Broken dam). We're about 1,5 hour drive from Prague.
